Happy December 1st . . . 24 days until Christmas!
I got all excited last night when I saw a Stampin' Up! envelope in the mail! WAHOO . . .
it's the Petals of Plenty embossing folder!? NO! I opened it . . . and believe it or not . . . it was empty! That is the first time that's ever happened to me . . . empty! I called them today and they're sending one out to me 2nd day air . . . should be here on Friday!
Here is one of the cards we're going to make on December 18th, at the December workshop. Whatcha think? When I found this on Angie Juda's website and just fell in love! I showed the card to Terry and he liked it enough to ask if we could make this our 2009 Christmas cards! Oh geez . . . twist my arm?! I just absolutely positively do love this 'lil
snowman group (along with the rest of the stamps in this Level 3 Hostess stamp set). I just love this picture of the boys, in their KU shorts. I took this picture on Halloween day, before Daddy racked up all the leaves . . . I got a bunch of 'em printed, to put inside our Christmas cards too . . . they just look so darn cute!
Don't forget to follow me and leave comments, for a chance to win the December Blog Candy! Good luck!
Hope you had a fantastic day . . . thanks for stopping by my craft room!

I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Wow . . . we've had a packed weekend, as I'm sure the rest of you have also. Here's the four of us, at Thanksgiving. We made all our family favorites, so we felt the love of loved ones. Funny how the boys taste buds are getting more refined, so they're now liking the dressing, cranberry salad, and pumpkin pie. Oh boy are they!! :o)
On Friday, we only had to work a 1/2 day at work (the day after Thanksgiving we always close @ 1:00P). After work, we drove to Dad & LaDonna's house, to spend some time with them and winterize the camper.
Clinton, MO has their lighting ceremony & holiday parade on Friday night . . . none of us been before, so we drove to the square and enjoyed the lights and watched the parade. Longtime friends of LaDonna's spent the Thanksgiving weekend with them, Bob & Linda, and they went with us to the downtown square too. This was a mini version of the Kansas City Plaza lighting ceremony, but beautiful just the same.
There is a group of 7 of us that attempt to together (we try monthly) and scrapbook/crop. We've decided to have a little holiday swap, the only stipulation we made is
that it has to be homemade. Here's what I've made . . . but I'm not telling you what I'm filling 'em with! :o) That part has to be a surprise for the girls! I just love these 'lil jars, can you tell? I think they're so versatile with any holiday, to fill them with candy, etc. I can't wait to make these for Valentine's Day! We just might have to do something at the January workshop with these, for Valentine's Day! Whatcha think?
I've also been playing with our Christmas card. The embossing folder I want to use has been on back order, but should be here on Tuesday! WAHOO! Here's a mock-up of the card so far . . . I've got some tweaking to do (like change out the ribbon and use the Petals-A-Plenty embossing folder). I
used the new Simmer Paint too, that I applied with a Sponge Dauber. If you click on the picture you can see the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint better, around the outside of the tree. I just love the little extra this adds. I didn't want to cut my embossing folder, so I cut out a tree in the center of some dense foam . . . this way it doesn't emboss where I want the tree to go. I got the idea from Patty's Stampin' Spot . . . except my shape is a tree (instead of an oval). I'm really liking the way the card is turning out.
Don't forget . . . the Online Extravaganza ends tomorrow evening! You can either order directly off my website or e-mail me your order, before 9:00P tomorrow evening . . . either way, it takes about a week for the order some come in.
Starting with this blog post . . . here's some December Blog Candy (for the snowman jar on the left)! The drawing will be on December 19th @ 12:00 CST. So be sure to 1. follow me (on the left side of the blog) and 2. leave comments often! Limit is one comment per post . . . who ever leaves the most comments wins (in case of a tie, radom.org will pick the winner)! Good luck!
Hope you have a wonderful day . . . thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Theresa & I were at the Eagle Glen Elementary School craft show yesterday. We had SO much fun, meeting new gals that stopped by, got to spend quality time with my Sissy, and hootin' it up with Jennifer
. Jennifer now refers to us as her "Partners in Craft". Cute huh? :o) Here's the picture Jennifer took of us yesterday.
Thank you to all the ladies that stopped by the booth! Congratulations to Elizabeth H. from Raymore, MO on winning the stamp set drawing! WAHOO!
Once I got back home, Terry had dinner made (the Chicken & Rice with Celery Soup) . . . and the he helped me move everything back to the basement. I attempted to unpack the "Green Coffin" . . . but by the time I got home, we had dinner, I made a little jar for Theresa (for her to give to the teachers for Thanksgiving), and then I was starting to get a migraine. I took my medicine and poof . . . off to went to bed! Patrick came and snuggled with me . . . nothin' better than snuggling with one of your kiddos is there?! :o)
We're going to the Chiefs game today, with Theresa and Bruce. Even though the Chiefs aren't having the best season this year . . . I just LOVE the energy out at Arrowhead! I look forward to this day with them each year! GO CHIEFS!
I hope you have a wonderful day . . . thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Happy Hump Day! I hope your day has gone well.
I had seen this idea on Angie Juda's website and just fell in love with it! I e-mailed her, to find out where she got the little jars . . . and bingo . . . I was hot-tailin' it out the door! Luckily, I'm married to a great fella that understands the "urgency" to go get crafting stuff! :o) I think the snowman one would be cute with some homemade hot chocolate in it . . . perfect for a neighbor gift, during the holidays!
I'm going to make some of these little jars for the craft show that Theresa and I are going to be at on Saturday . . . Eagle Glen Intermediate School (from 9A - 4P). We're going to be close to
Jennifer Goode too . . . the gourd gal that we met at the last craft show! She's so much fun! On her website, she's come out with ornament gourds . . . oh my gosh! This will be detrimental to my profit margin, on Saturday! :o)
Well, the little turkeys were a hit last night, at the workshop! I can't believe that Thanksgiving is just a week away! Where has 2009 gone? Since this is one of Terry's "firsts", without his Mom . . . he was wanting to just spend Thanksgiving at home. We'll (of course) be watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade, during all the dinner preparations! :o) What are your plans for Thanksgiving?
We're having a Thanksgiving Tiger Cub Pot Luck Dinner tomorrow
night. My DH is making his Mom's cranberry salad. I'll have to take a FoodNetwork picture of it and post it. It's very tasty, even with nuts, and it's a beautiful color . . . very festive!
Have a wonderful day . . . thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Tonight the boys and I went up to a local pizza place and met a girlfriend for
dinner. They make the best pizza! YUMMY! Terry was supposed to go with us, but decided that he needed to stay at home and racked leaves . . . did I squeak out of that deal or what? We got some BIG trees in our yard too! :o)
We got what they call a "King" pizza and between the three of us . . . there was ONE piece left! The boys snarfed it down like they
hadn't eaten for days! :o) I had to get another whole pizza, just to bring home to Terry! Oh my, I can only imagine what it's going to be like 10 years from now . . . to feed these two fellas!
Here are the last two cards, for the workshop! I hope you like the fall colors as much as I do! I love this time of year!
Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Happy Veterans Day, to all who serve(d) in armed forces! Without you, we wouldn't be able to have the freedom, and luxuries, we have in the great USA! Thank you!!
Okay . . . here's the 3D turkey, for those coming next week! Now tell me he doesn't make your socks go up-n-down!? I dare you! Is this the cutest 'lil turkey or what? Theresa forward me the link to the gal I CASE'd/scraplifted this from. Even though he's got a Hershey Nugget, for a body, I still don't think I'll eat him . . . he's just way too cute!
Wouldn't these make just darling place holders at your Thanksgiving table?
Don't forget to mark your calendar for either Tuesday or Friday night @ 6:30P! I'll be uploading the other two projects . . . so stay tuned!
Thanks or stopping by my craft room!
Peggy
I went out to the Blogger help and I believe the issue with you leaving comments is fixed (I hope)! Thank you for bringing it to my attention!
Sneak peak for those of you coming next week, to the workshop . . . this is using the Autumn Traditions Designer Paper . . . I just LOVE the colors, don't you? Just wait until you see the 3D item! It's gonna make your socks go up-n-down, I promise!! :o)
I hope you're having a lovely day/evening! Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

This is the bookmark that all the little Tiger Cubs made the other night . . . it's made with
the Sizzix Two Tags Bigz die and the Scallop Circle punch. Pretty easy little projects for 6 & 7 year old kiddos. I was pretty proud of myself, letting go of my anal-retentiveness on that one?! :o) Honestly, he did really well on his bookmark, didn't he?!
Yesterday was the Kids Crop . . . there were a total of 5 kiddos. A couple of them still have a few pages left to do on their scrapbooks, but I saved that part for last just in case of that. They all did really well and had fun dressing up their Build-A-Bears . . . I think that was their favorite part. Thanks to all the 'lil crafters for coming yesterday! I sure enjoyed spending time with all of you, AND your Moms too! :o)
Today, we had a downline meeting at Jeri's house. It was alot of fun spending an afternoon with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators. We had a mini-regional seminar . . . we watched a video with a few WOW demonstrations on it (you know the type that made you go "WOW" once you see how they did it), had our own card swap, and then created 6 projects from one stamp set! What an afternoon! :o) I'll have to upload all the pictures of our projects, they really are cute. There was one scrapbook page in it too! WAHOO!
Just a reminder, I'm having the November workshop next Tuesday & Friday evening. I'll finish up the samples and upload them, so you can see 'em!
Thanks for stopping by my craft room!
